Jon Marc Tedder

Marc Tedder of McDonough, GA, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 3:33 AM at the age of 50. He was born February 16, 1971, in Monroe, MI. He was a graduate of Heritage High School and graduated from Dekalb Technical Institute with an Automotive Technology degree. Marc was a member and on the Board of Trustees at Wesley Way United Methodist Church. He was employed by T-Force Freight (Overnite Transportation) for over 30 years and was the Atlanta shop manager. Marc married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, on Sept 4,1993, in Conyers, GA. That day started a journey of true love and commitment. He was the best husband, father, and son anyone could ask for. He loved to tease anyone he could as that is how he showed love. Marc’s favorite and sacred place was his property. He enjoyed tinkering with his cars and could fix anything. He was a genuinely kind man who would help anyone in need. He was loved by many especially his family. Marc was our anchor, and he will be dearly missed but we know he is watching over us in heaven and will be with us until we meet again. He was preceded in death by his father Jon Thomas Tedder. Marc leaves behind a host of family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 28 years Jennifer Tedder and children Jon and Abigail; Mother Kathy (Jerry) Barber of Senoia, GA; Father and Mother-in-Law Jerry and Judy Gallimore of Monticello, GA; Sister Krista (Jeremy) Holland of McDonough, GA; Sister-in-Law Jessica (Matthew) Allen of Auburn, AL; Brother-in-Law JC (Alexandra) Gallimore of Trinity, NC; and Nieces and Nephews Conner, Branson, Jonathan, Grace, Gavin (Samantha), Garrett, Lindy; and Great Nieces and Nephews Virginia, Timothy, and Thomas. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Wesley Way United Methodist Church in McDonough, GA. Family will receive visitors prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Reverend Michelle Strall will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wesley Way United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association (NRA).
