Mrs. Joyce Flowers Rutledge, age 85, of McDonough, GA passed away September 22, 2016. Mrs. Rutledge was born in Ludowici, GA the daughter of the late Alma Deloach Flowers and Isham Malphus Flowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Olice Lanier Rutledge; daughter, Lawanda Rutledge; siblings, Loise Flowers, Deward Flowers, Welton Flowers, Doyle Flowers, Russell Flowers, Talmadge Flowers, and Oliver Flowers. Survivors are her children, Doug Rutledge (Joy) of Hampton, Dale Rutledge (Kathy) of McDonough, Rhonda Coots (Will) of McDonough; grandchildren, Caroline Rutledge Childs (Ben) of Atlanta, Morgan Rutledge of McDonough, Camden Rutledge of Hampton, Tyler Coots of Newnan; brother, Larry “Dump” Flowers; several nieces and nephews. Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, flowers, attending all of her children’s sports events, and was known for being a good cook. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 25, 2016 / 3:00 – 4:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 4:30 PM at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
