

Juanita Edwards age 88 of McDonough passed away November 18, 2014. Juanita loved the Lord and her family immensely. Affectionately known as Nannie, she was considered the best cook in the world and could cook the best cornbread you have ever tasted. She enjoyed her coffee and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Smith; son, Sam Smith and sister, Mamie Westmoreland. She is survived by her husband, Louis Edwards of McDonough; daughter and son in law, Shirley and David White of McDonough; daughters; Liz Garrison of LaGrange, Joann Hanson of Stockbridge and Betty McElwaney of Riverdale; grandchildren, Lamar Smith of Douglasville, Shelby Smith of Texas, Mike Kessler of Covington, Andrea and Mark Buckner of McDonough and Kim Brand of McDonough; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in East Point. The family will receive friends Friday, November 21, 2014 from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
