

Klaus graduated from Frankford High School, Class of 1972 and received a Master's Degree from Troy University. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army, retiring as a Major in 2012 and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. Klaus was a life time member of the VFW and was of the Catholic faith. He had a storied career as a software developer and enjoyed flying small planes and helicopter and never missed an opportunity to take friends on a ride to have a $100 hamburger (Just an excuse to fly). In his younger years, He enjoyed traveling, playing Blackjack and Poker.
Family members include his children, David (Heather) Marshall of Bulls Gap, TN, Brian (Jennifer) Marshall of Sebring, FL and Jason Marshall of Clifton, NJ; mother Marianne Marshall and father, the late Charles E. Marshall; former spouse and best friend Kathleen Remer Marshall of Panama City , FL. Klaus was also Blessed with several grandchildren who cherished their Opa; former daughter in law, Carolyn Speakman; three brothers; two sisters; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Faithful pets Daisy and Cookie miss Klaus and already have a new home with Fiona.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home with a Vigil Service to commence at 4:00 pm with Father Liam Coyne as Celebrant.
A committal service with full military honors will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 - 9:00 am at Arlington National Cemetery.
