

Larry completed his elementary education at St. Bernard, and then completed his secondary education at De La Salle Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Larry briefly attended Northern Illinois University and later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Roosevelt University.
Larry’s career began with main frame computers for the Standard Oil Company. He spent the remainder of his career within the computer technology industry. After moving from Chicago to New Jersey, Larry was employed by Amdahl, and Citigroup in New York City.
Larry married Marthette Walker in 1967 and to this union, two children were born: Danielle Charise (Todd) Agee, Dallas, Texas and Larry James Agee, Jr., of Chicago, Illinois.
Larry married his current wife, Natividad (Cookie) Agee, on August 17, 2007.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Cookie; his brother Eugene Agee, Kansas City, Mo., his sisters Ellanor (Edward) Anderson, Taylor, S. C., Pamela (Vincent) Butler of McDonough, GA, and Felicia Agee, Lynwood, IL. His daughters Marlene (Rodney) Collins and Danielle Agee (Todd Lafayette); his sons Larry Agee, Jr. and Winston Agee, New Jersey, five grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Larry was a pioneer in the discipline of computer science. His passion was chess and he was a world-ranked Chess Master who competed in tournaments around the world. Larry was a vibrant and inquisitive person and will be missed.
Larry Agee Sr. passed away on May 29, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia from complications related to diabetes.
