Larry Simpson, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Larry was born July 18, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Alfred Charles and Fannie May Simpson. He was preceded in death by seven siblings. Larry owned and operated Larry Simpson Construction Company for over 50 years. He loved to work and enjoyed the construction business. Other than a great work ethic, Larry enjoyed trips to Florida, boating, fishing, spending time at the beach with his family, talking politics and listening to good music. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Rita Simpson; daughters, Rhonda Blissit and Gina (Kelley) O'Donnell; grandchildren, Stephanie (Pete) Williams, Nicole (Jonathan) Visage and Gabby O'Donnell; great grandchildren, Emily, Ethan and Eli Williams; brother, Marty (Pat) Simpson. A service celebrating the life of Larry Simpson will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 - 4:00 pm in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marty Simpson will officiate.
