Mr. Lloyd Leon Pittman

Mr. Lloyd Leon Pittman, age 85 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away September 13, 2017. He was born in Bold Springs, Georgia to the late Lloyd Leon Pittman, Sr. and Bessie Mae Burkhart Pittman. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Laurenze Tingle Pittman and by a great grandson, Avery. He was a member of the Locust Grove First Baptist Church, the Ringgold Masonic Lodge and was retired from Vulcan Materials. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, attending the Grand Ole Opry and the Daytona Races. Survivors include his sons, Leon (Cathryn) Pittman of Auburn, GA, Lesley (Jackie) Pittman of Locust Grove, Jeff (Christa) Pittman of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Maddox of Newnan, P.J. (Leanne) Pittman of Ola, Rachel (Allen) Aspinwall of Locust Grove, Tim (Agnes) Pittman of Senoia, Todd (Sarah) Pittman of Locust Grove, Kaitlyn Pittman, Cameron Pittman, Julie Kriston and Elizabeth Clough all of Locust Grove; great grandchildren, Justin, Kacie, Zackary, Emily, Olivia, Natalie, Jacob and Kaley; sister, Trixie Pittman of Stone Mountain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 – 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Riley will officiate. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hurricane Relief in memory of Mr. Pittman.
