Louise McMickle

Louise Fowler McMickle, age 95 of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away December 23, 2024. Born in Sylvester, Georgia on November 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Allene Fowler. She was the widow of Wayne Leamon McMickle. They shared sixty-six years of marriage.

Louise was always active and loved traveling, gardening, and playing hand and foot canasta. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. More than anything else, she loved her family, and she loved spending time with them. Louise was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church Locust Grove and served in many capacities there. Louise and her husband Wayne built and operated Six Star Mobile Home Park in Locust Grove for many years.

Louise has one surviving sibling, Curtis Fowler.

She is survived by four children: Gary W. (Debbie) McMickle of Loxley, AL, Terry L. (Cheryl) McMickle of Locust Grove, GA, Rhonda J. (Paul) Stockard of Stockbridge, GA, and Connie T. (Dave) Huelsbeck of Gainesville, GA. Also, she is survived by fourteen grandchildren: Daniel (Heather) McMickle, Ashley Spear, Bryan (Stephanie) Harrell, Kim Watson, Brandon Watson, Jeremy (Jen) McMickle, Holly McMickle, Brian (Julie) McMickle, Jeff (Megan) Huelsbeck, Bryan (Stacie) Huelsbeck, Mark Huelsbeck, Megan (Terry) Mycoskie, Laura Trigg, and Dau Trigg. In addition, she is survived by fifteen great grandchildren: Cierra, Austin, Ashton, Parker, Lauren, Lucas, Dylan, Chase, Connor, Finn, Gavin, Sophie, Ella, Ashlyn, and Kenzie.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Cagle and Dorothy Murray, and brother Byrus Fowler.

The Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church Locust Grove on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 4:00 pm. Visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Dr. Paul Stockard will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough, GA. (www.haistenfunerals.com)
