

Marilyn Theresa Upton (akaTerri) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to her parents Irene Sandlin and John Brown. Theresa was an unstoppable force. She turned every vision into a remarkable achievement. After high school, she pursued higher education and explored Europe and Russia, among other destinations. She had a passion for history and learning. She became a teacher and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, from Cincinnati, Ohio. One evening at a Dinner in Riverdale Georgia she met her husband, and they fell deeply in love, got married, and had two children. Kenneth and Kristina. Terri went on to inspire students in Fulton County. Her longest tenure was at Paul D. West Middle School, where she adored her students and colleagues. As she raised two children and motivated countless students during her 35-plus years of teaching. She was an extraordinary mother
She went back to school later in life and got her Masters degree. She was amazing mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, and cousin. Terri was a vibrant soul with a heart of gold. She passed away peacefully in her home with her daughter and dogs by her side, listening to her favorite music. She is survived by her two children, Kenneth Upton and Kristina Upton; her grandchildren, Zachary Upton and Jackson Upton, daughter in-law Katrrina Upton, her sister, Robin Brough, and brother, Robert Baker.
She will deeply missed the absence of her presence will always be deeply felt. We love you, mom.
