Maureen grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Kings County Nursing School. She met her late husband, Larry, in 1965 and soon after their marriage, Maureen became a full-time mother. After having her three children, Maureen transitioned from being a full-time mother to embarking on a 30-year career with the Bethlehem Police Department as the Department's Supervisor of Communications. Here, Maureen made lifelong friends & helped save countless lives and provided aide to the members of her community.
Our beloved Maureen enjoyed exploring new places and spending time at the beach. A special place for Maureen and Larry was Mystic, Connecticut. They traveled far and wide but always held Mystic near and dear to their hearts. Maureen was keenly interested in her family's history and ancestry, always sharing details of her family origins with loved ones. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and even loved to learn about new cultures. She had a particular interest in Native American culture and volunteered at the Iroquois Museum in Howes Cave, NY.
After making a beautiful life in New York, Maureen moved to Georgia and soon became involved in a local women's group. There, she met her best friend, Betty. The duo could often be found having high tea together while looking their very best! Maureen often loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Ledger, and Saige, who kept her on her toes & young at heart.
Maureen will be dearly missed by so many close friends and family members.
A celebration of Maureen's life will be conducted from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Haisten Funerals and Cremations located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway McDonough, Ga 30253
