I have so many great memories of Gerald it’s hard to pick just one. He was a Dad to me in my heart blood or not always and forever. He always treated me as his daughter and nothing ever changed that. He had a big heart. I always loved going to his and Mama’s house just to hang out and laugh and that’s what we always ended up doing. Going on vacation together was always special because we had the greatest and happiest of times. I miss those times. He always loved having his kids over having dinner surrounded at the dinner table laughing and telling stories and telling about their day or week. I hope, if not for our sakes, but for in the memory of Gerald and Mama we can keep that tradition alive. I love you Gerald and will always miss you. 

I remember as a child being at Uncle Gerald’s house riding bikes with Alicia and Regina. Coming down a hill I wiped out and scraped my entire front side. I ran inside crying and Uncle Gerald sat me on the counter and doctored my wounds. He then gave me a small sip of Peppermint Schnapps and sent me on my way. 

When my mom arrived I was scraped up but feeling just fine. 

At the time I didn’t understand that mom was furious with Uncle Gerald for giving me Peppermint Schnapps. We still laugh about it to this day.

Rest In Peace Uncle Gerald and thank you for being a part of my life. 

When we were growing up, I got shot with a BB gun between the eyes. I thought it was my cousin who did it. Years later I found out that it had been my big brother Gerald.

Gerald to me was more like an older brother than a cousin. Each time we spoke we could not stop talking about when we were younger. Gerald was my hero at that time and always will be.

Gerald will be missed but not forgotten. When we were growing up he was always getting into mischief at school and Daddy would have to come and pick him up. I also will miss calling him up just to see how he is doing today. I love my big brother Gerald. RIP

Mr. Queen is survived by his children, Brian Queen of Dahlonega, Brandon Queen of Eatonton, Jennifer Queen of Woodstock, Shane (Kelly) Moore of Dawsonville, Christy (Wesley) Keown of Jasper, Alicia (Donnie) Crocker of Cartersville and Regina (Tony) Hedden of Ellijay. Eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Siblings, Katherine Maney, Glenda Smith, Wanda Queen and David Queen all of Woodstock along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
