I’m so sorry to hear about Nan’s passing! I loved her. She was hilarious! She will be greatly missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Nan's passing.  I taught school with her at Hampton Elem and also knew her at Locust Grove.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.  Miss Nan

So sorry to hear of Nan's passing.  I remember her playing basketball at R. E. Lee Institute.  She was a good player.  Our prayers are for the family at this time.

Sending our thoughts and prayers.  I am so thankful for Nan and her giving spirit.  She helped us buy our horse, gave me horseback riding lessons, and was a family friend.  May all your dear family and friends find peace during this difficult time.

I knew Nan since kindergarten in Thomaston.  She was always so good at athletics, so I'm not surprised that she was a P.E. teacher.  My thoughts are with her family.

The Spivey family expresses their sympathy and prayers to the Brown family. We were very sad to hear of Mrs. Brown's passing. My sister, Autumn, and I have many fond memories of P.E. class at LGE playing freeze tag, "star wars", jump rope for heart and dancing on Fridays to the Tootsie Roll. My mother, Tina, was a coworker of Mrs.Brown and they shared a common interest in horses.

I am so sad to hear that Nan Huele Brown passed.  My Aunt Sylvia set up a pool outing in Thomaston when we were both five years old.  My aunt worked with Nan's dad at his radio station.  My grandparents lived in Thomaston, so I spent many a day talking horses and riding with Nan.  I will always remember Nan with her horse Chaser.  We were roommates our senior year in college; different universities, but same Atlanta apartment. Like so many people we lost track of each other, but always managed to get in touch every decade or so.  I will miss Nan and, yes, I wish I had stayed closer over the years.

I used to ride horses with Nan back in Thomaston and always enjoyed her company.  Please know you all are in my thoughts at this sad time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Nan. I couldn't sit near her during faculty meetings because she would always make me laugh. You all are in my prayers.

Nan was my P. E. teacher at Locust Grove Elementary and was also like my second mom. Maggie and I have been best friends since about the 3rd grade, so many a weekend and summer were spent at the Browns home. I remember Mom always being up for a game of Mario Kart or Monopoly, taking us shopping or out to eat to buy whatever we wanted, and family vacations to St. Simons and Jekyll Islands. I will always cherish her spaghetti recipe and will think of her fondly whenever I make it. She was always fun to be around and so witty...we learned so much from her. She is so missed and so loved.

My condolences to the Brown Family. Nan was a co-worker of mine at LGE for many years,we also worked together in the after school program and she was my boys PE coach.  I have lots of fond memories of Nan and Maggie.  I remember saving apples that we left over for her horses!!!!!!!

Nan was my very close friend;we had many good times riding horses down the dirt roads in Locust Grove years ago, trail rides all over the place and just having fun. I remember Nan throwing toasted marshmallows at a campfire and on hot dry summer days picking up bales of hay and stacking them on her truck. I thought we were miserable out there, now I'd give anything to be out in the hay fields with Nan again. You never know the value of a moment until it is gone.

Nan always made me laugh when I taught with her at Locust Grove Elementary.  I loved working with her.  Sympathy and prayers to the family.

Lindsey and I are so sorry to hear about Nan's death. She was a witty person who I always loved being around. I will forever remember her as Nanook of the North!
