Patricia Joan Howard

Patricia Joan Howard, beloved mother, grandmother, and soul mate, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 21, 2025 after a short battle with lung cancer. Born in Pelham, Georgia, to Lucille and Lonnie Gregory, Pat carried her southern roots with pride and warmth throughout her life.

She later moved to Atlanta, where she built a life centered around love, family, and community. Pat was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Dawn Stevens; precious grandson, Micah Richardson; her parents; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

She is survived by her devoted soul mate, Larry Fitzpatrick; loving daughter, Stephanie Craig and her husband Gene; grandchildren Bailee Richardson, Tyler Richardson, Christian Green, Anne Green, Taylor Green, and Kendal Green; and great-grandchildren Audrey, Charlotte, Harper, Lily Green, along with two special “bonus” great-granddaughters, Addie and Evie.

Pat was the heart of her family — always present and cheering at a ballfield or caring for a grandchild at home. Her joy came from being surrounded by those she loved. When not with family, Pat enjoyed traveling, especially on gambling trips, where she embraced life’s excitement and adventure with a smile.

Her legacy of love, strength, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
