Pearlie Grace Slauson

Mrs. Pearlie Grace Slauson, age 81 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away June 12, 2019. She was born in Flippen, Georgia to the late Alfred L. and Ethel Pearlie Salter Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burdett Joseph Slauson and a daughter, Betty Grace Conner. Grace was a founding member of Life in the Spirit Church and was a former member of Mt. Carmel Church of God for thirteen years. After raising five children of her own, she went on to raise three more as her own. She enjoyed dancing and gardening. Survivors include her children, Robert (Juanita) Slauson of Luthersville, Gayleen (Howard) Shoemaker of Stockbridge, Howard (Amanda) Slauson of Luthersville and Kathy (Eric Thompson) Slauson of Locust Grove; sixteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren; sister in law, Belle Brown of McDonough. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 - 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Flippen Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or you may make a contribution to Southern Grace Hospice in memory of Mrs. Slauson.
