Peggy McAdams

Mrs. Peggy Dolores McAdams, age 82, of Barnesville, GA formerly of McDonough, GA passed April 25, 2018. Peggy was born in Springfield, TN the daughter of the late Ethel Cope Merrill and Luther Merrill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. McAdams.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling. She received her BS at Middle Tennessee State College and went on to receive her Master’s Degree at Georgia State University. She taught school for the Clayton County Board of Education.

Survivors are her sons, Scott McAdams of Barnesville; grandchildren, Austin McAdams (Kristen) of Athens and Heather Messer (Chris) of Alabama; great grandchildren children, Landon and Grayson Messer of Alabama.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 6 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough.
