Ray S. White

Mr. Ray Samuel White, age 88 of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, loving husband of 68 years to Mildred "Mickie" Hunt White. He was born in Atlanta to the late Tom and Roberta White. Ray was an Army veteran and served his country during the Korean War. He was man of great faith, and loved to share the Gospel with those around him. Ray enjoyed spending his time fishing and flying planes. Most importantly, Ray loved his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Melvin (Donna) White of Stockbridge, Ed (Pamela) White of Gainesville, Mark White of Jonesboro, and Stacy (Dixie) White of McDonough; grandchildren: Michael, Courtney, Krissy, Sara, Kryrie, Alex, Robert, Caitlin, Jacob, and Joshua; great grandchildren: Alora, Aiden, Hannah, Madison, and Nathanial; and brothers: Buford White, Ernest White, and John White. The family will receive friends on August 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm at North Henry Baptist Church,1093 Flat Rock Road, Stockbridge, Ga 30281, with Pastor Stan Jordan officiating. Internment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
