

Mr. Robert Aubry Phillips, better known as Robbie, age 58, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on August 2, 2016. Robbie was born in Tifton, Georgia to Robert and Malone Childs Phillips. His father, Robert Phillips and his step father, Bill Daugherty, preceded him in death. Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Mercer University and worked as an inspector and financial analyst with the United States Customs Service. Robbie took great pride in his career as an inspector and implemented many programs that are still used by the Customs Service today. He treasured time spent with his family, especially his granddaughters who were the highlight of his life. His love for the outdoors and sportsmanship with guns was admired by all of his family. Robbie will be remembered for his superb attention to detail in everything he did and his witty sense of humor. He was a member and former deacon at Salem Baptist Church in McDonough. Robbie leaves behind his wife, Brenda Phillips; sons, Kyle Phillips and his wife, Sarah, and Cam Phillips and his wife, Amy; granddaughters, McKinley and Savannah; mother, Malone Daugherty; brother, Russ Phillips and his wife, Karen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. A service to honor Robbie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 beginning 11:00AM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Statham officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM following the service at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
