Ronald Dennis Storey, age 74, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, in Jackson, Georgia where he shared a home with Patty Payne. Ron was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Carlton and Martha Storey.
Ron was a man who lived life with a passion. Everything he found an interest in; singing karaoke, throwing the frisbee, playing harmonica, playing the guitar or playing cornhole, he was determined to master. What started as a small hobby would turn to an obsession. Ron's greatest joy was sharing those obsessions with his family and friends.
Music was his constant gift to his children and grandchildren. He instilled in them a love of music that would lead many to share a microphone with him. Those duet recordings along with his solo material will ensure that his voice will never be far away.
Ron would give everything he had to his family or friends. If anyone needed help, he would give it. The only repayment he ever needed was attention and watching him and cheering him on while he performed karaoke or watching him play cornhole.
Ron shared the world stage with those he loved the most; his daughters Kat (Tim) Godwin, Christy (John) Olson, Jessie (Seth) Wheeless and his son Jeremiah Storey. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren Megan, Zac, Gavin and Ava Godwin, Webb and Luke Olson, Korali Chyan Chandler and Madelyn Storey. Ron's memory is also cherished by his sisters Debbie Clack and Vickie Wooten.
Ron was a man that made a lasting impression on anyone he met. He was a character; a man of many talents and he was always ready to play. Whether it was swimming in the pool or shooting a game of pool, playing guitar or playing Nintendo, Karaoke or Cornhole, he always took time to enjoy life with family and friends. Ron did a really good job at being a success in life while staying a child at heart.
He was the life of the party, even when there wasn’t one!
