

Mrs. Ruby Holbrook Craig, age 86, of McDonough, GA passed away March 21, 2016. Ruby was born in Toccoa, GA the daughter of the late Beulah Rudeseal Holbrook and George Holbrook. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Sue Holbrook Owenby and Polly Holbrook; and brothers, Edward and Fred Holbrook. Ruby was a member of Turner United Methodist Church, Henry County Moose Club, charter member of the Women of Henry County Shrine, and VFW. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing, traveling, and was very athletic and enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. Ruby was known for her outgoing personality and always dressed classy and known to be a very charming southern lady. Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Bobby Craig of McDonough; sons and daughter-in-laws, Glenn and Paulette Smith of Stockbridge and Bobby Craig Jr. and Donna of Hampton; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; siblings, George Holbrook of Toccoa, Gladys Griffin (Jimmy) of Nashville, GA, Carlene Spears of Nashville, Jennie Holbrook of Idaho, Doris Price of Nashville, GA and Gail Barker of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Ruby Craig will be on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8:00 PM at the Haisten Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 24, 2016 – 2:00 PM at Turner United Methodist Church with Rev. Leon Baxter officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
