Russell Franklin Amerson, age 67, of McDonough, Georgia passed away September 3, 2023. He was born October 28, 1955 in Charlotte, NC to the late William Clarence and Dorothy Louise Howell Amerson. He was known as Russ or Rusty to those that knew him well. He was a graduate of Morrow Senior High School, Class of 1973. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed keeping a meticulous lawn. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Josie Amerson; children, Frankie (Meagan Pruitt) Andrews and Tara Amerson; grandsons, Lee Pruitt and Joseph Andrews, III; siblings, Karol (Bill) Burell, Randy (Mandy) Amerson and Kris (Thor) Wiggins; his four legged buddy, Roxy and his beloved grand-dogs, Bruno, Biu and Buzz. Private services will be held at a later date.
