Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Banks was born on May 9, 1960 in McNary, Arizona to Thomas and Geraldine Stapp. She grew up in McNary and Pine Top, Arizona where she met and married the love of her life Kimball Banks on June 4, 1977. Together they shared 45 precious years starting a family, serving the Lord and loving each other without wavering. Sandy is preceded in death by her mother Gerry, sister Rebecca and brother Michael. She is survived and missed much by her family: husband Kimball Banks, children Jon Banks (wife Frances) and Jennifer Conti (husband Jeremy), father Thomas Stapp, grandchildren Joey, Amanda, Hailey, Becca, Jon-Jon, Arianna, Gianna, Kimber and Jackson, and great grandchildren Kayden, Ava and Skylar. Sandy extended family beyond bloodlines wherever she settled and has left behind several special “family” members in the Nicoletti, Marchbanks, Ortiz, Howard, Vincent and Brainard families. She also treasured many special relationships developed while ministering in Good News Gang, Missionettes, Sunday Night Parker Home Group and Most Excellent Way. Sandy spent her life serving Jesus and loving people. She and her husband pastored and served in nearly every ministry possible in Arizona, Michigan and Colorado. She was a woman of many talents and her passions including sewing, cooking, canning, gardening and blessing others. She always had several projects in progress from handmade quilts to special jams ready to send to loved ones across the country. Her greatest passion was her heart for people. She was always ready to listen to peoples stories, pray for others giving encouragement and everyday practical advice in a grocery store, across social media or anywhere she was needed. Because of her home spun wisdom she was a regular contributor to many media platforms such as her YouTube Always Sumptin' and Canning Rebels. She ministered to countless people over her lifetime and was greatly treasured. Sandy was called home on August 17th. She will be missed tremendously but we hold firm to the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:8 and know that though she is away from her body she is home with the Lord. We can not wait until the day we will see her again. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Sandy’s memory to the American Diabetes Association. https://diabetes.org/ways-to-give
