Sandra Ellen Barber

Mrs. Sandra Ellen Barber, age 78 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 10, 2021. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia to the late James E. and Susie Georgia Harris Alexander. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Maddox and by siblings, Susan Peebles and James E. Alexander, Jr. Sandra was a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church in East Point and had retired from A&P Grocery. She then worked along side her husband at Jeff Barber's Grocery in Hampton for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travel, cooking, trips to the mountains, doting on her cats and watching her hummingbirds while sitting on the porch. Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Jeff Barber; son, David Wayne Barber of McDonough; granddaughters, Brandi (Clifford) Berry of Hampton, Hannah (Josh) Kilcrease of Meansville and Amber Maddox of Griffin; great grandchildren, Aubri Barber, Emalyn Berry and Anthony Bell; brother in law, Eddie Hopper of McDonough; sister in law, Linda Hopper of Hampton. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2021 - 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Conkle will officiate. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Saturday 3:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
