Mr. Terry Alan "Grasshopper" Jones, age 56 of McDonough, Georgia passed away May 20, 2021. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charles Edward and Tereko Tistimi Jones. Terry was part of the Jonesboro High School graduating class of 1982. He was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He loved to go fishing, play golf and was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves fan. He was known as "Grasshopper" to family and friends and "Hopper" to his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Caitlyn (Chase) McGill of Lincolnton, Natalie (Matt) Glass of Simpsonville, SC and Joshua (Abi) Jones of McDonough; grandchildren, Asher and Addi McGill, Lexie Murphy, Lennon Glass, Cooper and Gracie Jones; siblings, Charlie (Sandra) Jones of Carrollton, Nancy Durham of Norcross, Elizabeth "Peanut" Jones of Mableton and Kenny (Felicia) Jones of Smyrna. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be afterwards from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Joshua's House. THE FAMILY REQUESTS ALL IN ATTENDANCE PLEASE WEAR RED AND BLACK/GEORGIA BULLDOG COLORS IN MEMORY OF TERRY.
