Thelston Wallace Boyd

Thelston Wallace "Wally" Boyd, age 73, of Monticello, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Wally was born in Rita, West Virginia on November 24, 1947 to the late William Henry Boyd and Martha Jane Sorrell. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Joan M. Smith, Fred C. Boyd, Edgar L. Boyd and Anna Ruth Marsolais and his first wife of 43 years, Sun Cha Boyd and his second wife of 7 years, Martha Janell Boyd, also known as "his lady love". Wally was a retired Army veteran after serving for almost 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, online and casino gambling, TV-Land and the Moose Lodge. Wally cherished the times spent with family. Mr. Boyd attended Unity Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA. He is survived by his children, Suzanna Boyd (Mario) of Stockbridge, Mark (Kimberly) Ware of Monticello, Danna (Ronnie) McHone of Jackson and Joani (Trevion) Clemons of Stockbridge. Eighteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, surviving siblings, Joseph "Roy" (Brenda) Boyd of West Virginia, Corliss J. Stalnaker of Ohio and Carla Y. Boyd of Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 1:00pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Abundant Life Church in Locust Grove, Georgia. Pastor Craig Bennett will officiate the Funeral Service at 1:00pm with the full military burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough, GA.
