

Mr. Tommy David Fowler, age 71, of McDonough, Georgia passed away May 19, 2014. Tommy was born in Elyria, OH the son of the late Paul Aaron Fowler SR and Stella Mae Duckett Fowler. Tommy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing and considered himself “One Blessed Man”. He had the nick name of “Spoon” because of his joking sense of humor and stirring things up. He owned his own company for 30 years, Fowler Color Company where he traveled the Atlanta area matching paint. He was currently employed by Single Source Inc. He was a Deacon and member of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro and served on the board for Partnerships for Unreached People. Tommy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Faith Rutledge Fowler of McDonough; children, Tammy Hill (Gary) of McDonough, Curt Fowler of McDonough and April Cobb (Brad) of Williamson; 13 grandchildren, Curtis, Kayce, Hannah (Jeremy), Caleb, Matthew, Bradley, Brandon, Cassidy, Kelsie, Mason, Kyndell, Tyler, and Jesse; brother, Paul Fowler Jr. (Nancy) of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Tommy will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 – 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church, 1746 Hwy. 138, Jonesboro, GA. 30236 with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fairview. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8:00 PM.
