

Wanda Ray White, age 85, of Hampton, GA died Sunday, May, 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on July 9, 1930 in Spalding County, to the late Jesse Woodson and Ruby Berry Wesley. Wanda was affectionately known as “Meme” to her family and friends. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, and former member of County Line Congregational Christian Church, and retired after 44 years from Southern States, in Hampton, Georgia. Wanda was a person that would light up the room with her wit; after all she was voted “Most Wittiest” by her senior class. Her daily routine, other than Sunday’s, was going to Hardee’s where she and others would gather and solve the problems of the world. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John T. White, and her brother, Ronnie Wesley, and son-in-law, Randy Holmes. Surviving are her daughters, Vicki Holmes, Terri and Donald Cleveland; Brother, Harold and Betty Wesley; grandchildren, Amy Jordan, Josh Holmes, Brooke Cleveland, Ansley Cleveland; great grandchildren, Brittany Webb, Katie Webb, Nick Holmes, and Pyper Jordan; several nieces & nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday from Liberty Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. John Tarrer, Rev. Mike Henderson, and Rev. Chris Harris officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Liberty Hill Baptist Church or County Line Congregational Christian Church in her memory.
