William Curtis Darsey Sr.

Mr. William C. Darsey Sr., age 87, of Jackson, GA passed away March 25, 2015. Mr. Darsey was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Mollie Martin Darsey and Arthur Forehand Darsey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Parker Darsey; daughter, Carol Taylor; 3 brothers and a sister. Mr. Darsey served his country in the US Army and also the US Navy reserves. He was a member of the Griffin Primitive Baptist Church and was known for his strong Christian faith. Mr. Darsey enjoyed spending time with family and friends; he enjoyed flying and at one time owned three crop dusting planes. Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, William C. Darsey Jr., of Milner, Donald R. Darsey of Jackson, Ronald J. and Denise Darsey of Griffin, Franklin F. and Carmen Darsey of Jackson; son-in-law, Curtis Taylor of Jackson; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A visitation for Mr. Darsey will be held on Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Frank King, Pastor Bill Torrance, and Pastor Marty Smith officiating.
