

Mr. William Eugene Harding, Sr., age 71 of Monticello, Georgia passed away June 25, 2016. He was born in Peoria, Illinois and was raised by Raymond Jack and Cathrine Mustred Ames. Bill owned and operated Harding Plumbing, Heating and Cooling for 42 years before letting his son Jack take over the family business. He attended Prospect Methodist Church in Mansfield. In his early days, Bill was a volunteer fireman. He was Mason and Shriner where he enjoyed the Shriner’s Parades and events at the Children’s Hospital. He was Past Potentate of Al Sihah Shrine in Macon and was a Past Master of Jasper Lodge # 50. He enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles and RVing. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Lee Harding; sons, Billy Harding of Dallas, TX, Jack (Dana) Harding of McDonough, Roland Roscom of Dallas, TX; grandsons, R. J. and Hudson Harding. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 28, 2016 - 11:00 am at the McDonough Presbyterian Church. Rev. Charles Starr and Rev. Layne Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Sunday and Monday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital c/o Al Sihah Shrine Temple, 222 Mecca Drive, Macon, GA 31206 or to the Jackson Lake Volunteer Fire Department, 4431 Jackson Lake Road, Monticello, GA 31064 in memory of Bill.
