

Jimmy Boothe of McGregor, formerly of Waco, died Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2013, at the age of 90. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 27, 2013, at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth St. McGregor with Pastor Joe Bailey officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 Thursday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mr. Boothe was born October 9, 1922, in Cuero, Texas, the son of the late Claude Jones and Lillie (Dromgoole) Boothe and attended school in Hochheim. He married Marie Niley who preceded him in death in 1978. In 1979, he married Jeesie Lee Fitzgerald in Waco. After nineteen years of marriage, she preceded him in death December 18, 1998.
From 1943 to his honorable discharge in 1945, he served his country in the United States Army. Much of his life was spent as a truck driver. He retired from McKinney and James in 1989 after devoting over thirty years to the truck driving profession. He was an outdoors person who enjoyed be out in God’s creation.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Sidney Boothe, C.C. Boothe; a sister, Jean Marie Sagely.
Survivors include two sons, Jackie Eubank, Danny Eubank both of Waco; three brothers, Finley Boothe of Houston, Lee Boothe of Waco, Bobby Boothe of Seagoville; five grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
