

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 6pm to 8pm at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 18 at 10am at the First United Methodist Church of Crawford with interment to follow at Crawford Cemetery.
Gary was born August 25, 1948 in San Angelo, TX to Glenn and Elizabeth (Wilson) Clark. He graduated from Central High School in San Angelo and then joined the Air Force. He received degrees from Angelo State University, Southwest Texas State University and McLennan Community College. On August 14, 1976, Gary married Kaye Watts and their love grew stronger each day. They were blessed with 2 daughters, Nicole and Stacy.
Gary loved studying and learning new things. He was a Mason and belonged to the Crawford Lodge and J. Gurley Lodge. At the time of his death, he was a District Deputy Grand Master, District 61-C. He loved working with stained glass and remodeling the family farmhouse. After retirement, he became a published author, writing adult fiction. His second book is to be released July 1st. His greatest joy of all was his grandchildren. During the summer, he had ‘Papa’s Day Care’ and he loved doing that more than anything he ever did.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ann and a nephew, Jeff.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 37 years, Kaye; his daughters, Nicole Johansen and husband Dusty and Stacy Puryear and husband Josh; grandchildren, Kinze and Gavin Reich, Tristan, Brayden and Camden Johansen, and Ellie Puryear; brothers, Dwight Clark and wife Pat of Georgia and Jerry Clark and wife Connie of League City; sisters, Glenda Meade of Dallas and Carol Majors of San Angelo; brothers-in-law, Billy Wayne Watts and Cal Watts and wife C.J. all of Luling; many beloved nieces and nephews who loved their “Beba and Huncle” and many, many dear friends.
Casketbearers will be members of Crawford Masonic Lodge #585.
