Jon Michael "Mike" Kattness

Jon Michael ”Mike” Kattness of Peachtree City, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, after suffering from complications of Multiple Myeloma at the age of forty. Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Inurnment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. at Cole Funeral Home.

Michael was born August 29, 1972, in Austin, Texas, the son of Robert B. and Janice “Sue” Dannheim Kattness. Michael had a truly a unique spirit who lived life to the fullest. He had an infectious sense of humor and an undeniable zest for life. He touched many lives and each one will be forever brighter because of him.

Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Robert W. Kattness of McGregor; maternal grandparents, Ethel and R.V. Dannheim of Lometa and an uncle, John Martino of McGregor.

Survivors include his parents, Sue and Bob Kattness of Peachtree City, Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, Stacy and Kevin Nelson of Peachtree City, Georgia; a nephew Gavin I Nelson; a neice Ava Grace Nelson; paternal grandmother Helen F. Kattness of McGregor and many aunts and cousins across the country.
