Kenneth Wayne Bailey

Kenneth Wayne Bailey, 80, of Moody passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in a McGregor nursing home. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Waco Memorial Park with the Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, May 9th at Cole Chapel in Moody.

Mr. Bailey was born on November 13, 1933 in Moody, Texas to Charlie T. and Jewell (Brooks) Bailey. He married Shirley Squyers on April 19, 1965 in Waco and they celebrated over 49 wonderful years together. Mr. Bailey loved model airplanes, air shows, auto racing, working on lawn mowers, go-carts or anything with a motor. He was a very lovable, happy go lucky man who made friends easily. Mr. Bailey worked for American Desk in Temple for 39 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and his sister, Lois.

Survivors include his wife; Shirley Bailey of Moody, son; Jimmy W. Bailey of Moody, daughter; Karen Brannen of Moody, brothers; Billy C. Bailey, Archie Bailey and his wife, Ann and Robert Bailey and his wife, Sue, sisters; Mary Lou Beaty and Betty Sue Bailey and his granddaughter; Amy E. Brannen.
