
Lottie J. Diamond of Malakoff, formerly of Fort Worth, died early Wednesday morning, June 9, 2010, at the age of 92. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2010, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Rev. Joe Broadway officiating. Private interment will be in Crawford Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation, however viewing will commence at 10A M until 5PM Thursday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mrs. Diamond was born January 6, 1918, in Crawford, Texas, the daughter of the late Jonas Hardy and Emma Charlotte (Groppell) Jones where she attended school. On May 6, 1962, she married Brack Diamond, Jr. in Oklahoma. She and her first husband Rusty Williams owned and operated Williams Insurance Company in White Settlement many years until she retired. In 2000, she moved from Lake Belton to Malakoff where she and her husband have made their home. Throughout her life she enjoyed beautiful flowers, quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family.
Also preceding her in death was a son Cloy Williams; four brothers, Paul, Jones, Lee Jones, twins, David and Daniel Jones; four sisters, Alice Pack, Mary Saulter, Lorena Moss and Betty White.
Survivors include her husband, Brack Diamond, Jr.; a step-son, Roy Diamond of Arkansas; a sister Ernestine King of Athens; two step grandchildren, Allen and Rebecca and many nieces and nephews.
