Louis H. Aguilar, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas, officiated by Esteban Lugo. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the funeral home.
Louis was born on January 8, 1936 in Sinton, Texas to Ascension Aguilar, Sr. and Guadalupe Hernandez Aguilar. He grew up in Sinton and attended school there. He married Eva Yanes on April 1, 1978 and they made their home in Moody, Texas. Louis was a maintenance worker for Darr Equipment, which became Holt-Cat Waco for over 30 years, where he liked to sell his homemade burritos to coworkers. Louis enjoyed fishing, working on lawnmowers, drinking coffee with his friends, and eating. One of his favorite things to do was playing with his dog, Poncho. Louis loved celebrating his birthday and shared a birthday with his granddaughter. He said she was the best birthday present he had ever received and he took great joy in celebrating their birthday together every year.
Preceding Louis in death were his parents; brothers Ascension Aguilar, Jr., Cruz Aguilar; Delfino Aguilar.
Survivors include wife, Eva; daughter, Debra Murphy; sons, Christopher Aguilar, Michael Aguilar; step-daughters, Diane Zuehlke and husband, Joe, June Valladarez and husband, Ray; step-son, Steve Garcia and wife, Sylvia; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and sisters, Aurora A. Pena, Juanita A. Godina, Maria Aguilar;
