

Mack Fletcher of Waco died late Sunday afternoon, December 11, 2011, at the age of 77. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Moody with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery under the direction of Cole Chapel, 304 Eighth Street, Moody. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Cole Chapel.
Mr. Fletcher was born, November 30, 1934, in Robinson, Texas the son of the late William Alford and Jennie Rosalee (Naylor) Fletcher. As a young child, he moved to Moody where he played football and graduated in 1952. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. On June 10, 1961, he married Bernice Coker at First Baptist church in Moody. After forty-six years of marriage, she preceded him in death, November 11, 2007. In 1961, the couple moved to Waco where he was employed by McLennan County and the City of Waco as a tax appraiser for about twenty years.
He was a member of Park Lake Baptist Church in Waco and enjoyed playing pool in his younger years, working in his yard and traveling..
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Boyd Fletcher; two sisters, Amaleta Brown and Faye Johnson.
Survivors include a son, Michael Fletcher and wife Dee Ann of Corsicana; a daughter, Melissa McNeil and husband Matt of Azle; two brothers, Cal Fletcher and wife Delica of Colleyville, Gene Fletcher and wife Beatrice of Moody; four sisters, Willie Mae Kaldenbach and Margie Pate both of Moody, Bobbie Tanner of Gatesville, Trisha Ross and husband Tommy of Troy; three grandchildren, Michael Ryan Fletcher, Campbell Brian Fletcher and Emily Lauren Fletcher.
The family expresses their appreciation to Bluebonnet Hospice and the care givers of Eden House for their excellent care and compassion of Mack.
