

Margaret Fisk of McGregor died Saturday night, November 26, 2011, at the age of 88. Private graveside services and interment were 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor, with Neil Walter officiating. A visitation was held from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Cole Funeral Home
Mrs. Fisk was born November 30, 1922, in the Eagle Springs Community of Coryell County, Texas, the daughter of the late Charlie Ray and Edith (Barron) Ferrell and attended school at Oglesby. On April 13, 1939, she married Oscar J. Fisk in McGregor. After forty-three years of marriage, he preceded her in death November 7, 1982. For twenty-three years, she was employed by McGregor Independent School District in the cafeteria prior to her 2006 retirement.
She was a member of Sixth and Adams Church of Christ where in earlier years taught Sunday School. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Frances Hebner; a sister, Ethel Bankhead; two brothers, Charles Ferrell and Ray Ferell.
Survivors include three sons, Phillip P. Fisk of Plano, Tim Fisk of McGregor, Ricky W. Fisk of Lorena; three daughters, Jean Gunn of Nederland, Brenda Turnbow of Helotes, Debera Newton of League City; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
