

Mary Lippe, of the Belton, McGregor and Oglesby areas, died Sunday morning, October 2, 2011, at the age of 68. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery near Oglesby. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lippe was born March 28, 1943, in Gatesville, Texas, the daughter of the late Carl and Irene (Johnson) Evans. She was a 1961 graduate of Leon Junction School. On July 17, 1964, she married Alburn Wayne Lippe. After twenty-seven years of marriage, he preceded her in death September 22, 1992. She was employed by Belton Independent School District as a baker. In 1999, she retired after nine years of service. Throughout her life, she enjoyed baking wedding cakes and various types of arts and crafts.
Survivors include two sons, Allan Lippe and wife Jana of Belton, Eddie Lippe and wife Tonya of Burleson; a brother, Francis Evans and wife Nita of Belton; eight grandchildren, Krystle Summerlin, Ashley Horner, Dustin Lippe, Brandon Lippe, Bailey Gift, Brittnee Lippe, Alyssa Gift, T.J. Gift; two great grandchildren, Luke Horner and London Horner.
