Nell L. Baker

Nell L. Baker, 84, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Church of Christ, 6th & Adams, McGregor, with Pat Richardson officiating.

Mrs. Baker was born in Moody, Texas on April 3, 1932 to William Stonewall Jackson Brown and Mina Jane Wyatt Brown. She was a longtime resident of McGregor. Nell retired from Baylor University as a hostess in 2013, and she loved her children and grandchildren.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Ray Brown, Robert Brown, and Leo Brown.

Survivors include sons, Roy Reed Burson of McGregor, James Burson and wife, Barbara, of Gatesville; grandsons, Jake Burson and wife, Brandi, of McGregor, Joshua Burson and Angela, of Abilene; great-grandchildren, Korlie, Chisholm, Kayde Rose of McGregor, Joshua James, of Abilene, Sarah Beth, of Abilene; brothers, Billy Joe Brown of McGregor, Cordice Brown of Waco, John Brown of Bartlett; sister; Vicki Ash of Moody; numerous nieces and nephews; and step-grandchildren Carlee Leger and husband, Kyle, Zane Hamons, and Braydon Hamons.
