Sue Ann Ethridge, 82, of Oglesby, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 7, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Kyle Futrell and Mr. Neil Walter officiating. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Mrs. Ethridge was born on July 28, 1932 in Knox City, Texas, to Allen Guy and Irma (Bean) Guy. She married Billy Guy Ethridge on June 3, 1959. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. They were longtime residents of Oglesby, Texas.
Sue Ann received her undergraduate degree, from the University of Texas, at Austin at age 19, her master’s degree from The University of Houston, and her counseling degree from Baylor University. She was a lifetime member of The Texas State Teachers Association, and a member of the McGregor Church of Christ.
Mrs. Ethridge was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Shaw Guy and C.R. Guy.
