Tom Manning Chadwick

Tom M. Chadwick, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in McGregor, Texas. A graveside service will be Saturday, August 22, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at the Moody Cemetery, with Pastor Avaristo Garcia officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 , from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.

Mr. Chadwick was born November 7, 1931 to W.L. and Mildred (Spencer) Chadwick, in McGregor, Texas. Tom was a longtime resident of McGregor, and he graduated from McGregor High School in 1951. He served in the United States Air Force, and worked as an occupational therapist at the VA Hospital in Waco. Tom married Peggy Newman in 1953, and they had three children. Tom loved everyone and he never met a stranger. His passion was gardening and planting trees.

Mr. Chadwick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Nell Chadwick; and daughter, Debra K. Chadwick.

Tom is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sue Chadwick; daughter, Tommie Nell Holloway; son, Michael Dewayne Chadwick and wife, Laura, of Robinson; step-son, Michael Pickens of Arkansas; sister, Venita McNeil of Woodway; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
