William Cleveland Dunlap III

surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. The memorial service will be October 26th from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.

William was born on June 7, 1947 to William Cleveland, II and Gladys (Cox) Dunlap in San Marcos, Texas. He was a longtime resident of McGregor. William served in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Treletta Armstrong on March 3, 1972 in Austin, Texas. They celebrated 49 wonderful years together. William was a master plumber and worked for 37 years in McGregor. He also served as a State Trooper for 5 years in Mexia and Austin areas.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Cleveland Dunlap, II.

Survivors include his loving wife, Treletta Dunlap of McGregor, daughters, Mandy Johnson of Lorena, Nichol Bell of Lorena, granddaughter, Gracie Bell of Lorena, grandsons, Bradly Johnson of Lorena, Ronnie Bell of Lorena, mother, Gladys Evelyn Dunlap of Austin, sisters, Meri Bowie of Austin, Judith Flanagan of Dallas, and Jan May of Austin, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
