Brenda Perkins Satterfield passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2020 after a short but valiant battle with lung cancer. Brenda was born on February 11, 1954 in Goochland, VA to Bernice Perkins and the late Lynwood Perkins, Sr.

Brenda is survived by her husband of almost 40 years Archer Satterfield Jr. and her daughter Nicole (Satterfield) Crews and husband “Danny,” and step daughter Tracey Vanfield. She was also a proud Grandma to “her boys” Tatum and Camden. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Lynwood "Bubba" Perkins, Jr. and wife Daryl and a host of nieces and nephews. She was greeted in heaven by her father Lynwood, brother Mike, sister-in-law Donna, brother-in-law George, niece Brooke, cousin Carolyn Ann, and many other loved ones.

Brenda loved life most when she spent time at her happy place with her boys. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her request is that donations be made in honor of her to “her boys.” Donations can be made to Nicole Crews at Village Bank.

Momma this seems like such a bad dream. You always looked at the positive in every situation, you loved your boys so fiercely it was contagious. You could seriously light up the room! You gave the best advice and guidance. You we’re my best friend, always will be! Thank you for everything! It’s not goodbye, I’ll see you late my friend! Until then continue being the best guardian angel!

I sat in the cube in front of Brenda at Blue Cross for a number of years and so enjoyed talking with her every day. I recently ran into her at kroger and she said how she was so happy to help raise Camden just as she had helped with Tatum. She loved those boys. Nicole you gave her such great gifts.

Brenda and I worked together at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield for 16 years and shared a cubicle together. We had such wonderful times over those years with lots of laughs and also sharing sad times. She was my very best friend.I was devastated when Archie called me with the news of her passing. My love and sympathy to Archie, Nicole, Mrs Perkins, Bubba, and all the family. Rest in peace,Brenda. I will miss you. All my love, Joan Davis

To Sarah and all family, my mom loved Brenda. They laughed and cried and shared many memories. They were both part of an amazing circle of friends. I hope they are again together sharing some good times and laughing out loud.
My deepest sympathies to all of you.
