Rick was a dedicated family man and a well-respected professional who touched the lives of many. Growing up in the Hampton Roads area, Rick attended Old Dominion University, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. His career path took him to Richmond in 1995 when he began working for AT&T as an electrical engineer. However, his true passion for helping others led him to a career in financial planning. After starting at Legg Mason, Rick spent the past 16 years as a senior financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was deeply committed to his clients’ success. He found great fulfillment in guiding them toward their financial goals. His involvement with the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce further demonstrated his commitment to his community.
Outside of work, nothing brought Rick more joy than spending time with his family. He was a devoted father, always on the sidelines cheering for his son at soccer games or supporting his daughter's gymnastics endeavors. He also played an active role in his son’s Cub Scouts Pack 544, reflecting his dedication to being involved in his children's lives. A lover of the beach, Rick found peace with his wife by the ocean and cherished their time together. He was known for his thoughtful nature—always researching in-depth before making any decisions, whether it was for his job or personal purchases. Rick will be remembered as a devoted Washington Commanders fan, he was not a fair-weather fan, he took the losses with the wins. He also had a dry, witty, and sarcastic sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. Rick's love for animals was evident in his rescue pets, including his beloved Shih Tzu, Sheldon. His presence in his family’s life, his community, and his workplace will be deeply missed.
