JOHNSON, David Joseph, 56, passed away April 15, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joseph Johnson and Virginia Tuck Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie A. Johnson; his daughter, Kathryn "Katy" J. Luke and husband, Connor R. Luke; his granddaughter, Makayla J. Luke; sister, Joyce J. Timberlake; brother, Marquis "Mark" A. Johnson and wife, Susan S. Johnson; niece, Kristen Englehart; nephews, Jeffrey Johnson and Jay Johnson. He was a graduate of Auburn University, an active member of New Hanover Presbyterian Church and the Kings Charter Community. He had a passion for golf and has followed the Atlanta Braves for many years.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, at New Hanover Presbyterian Church, 10058 Chamberlayne Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hanover Presbyterian Church.
