Edeltraud "Trudy" Hellermann

Heaven gained another angel on Friday, January 18, 2019. Trudy Hellermann, 85, of Bon Air, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida Seibel. Trudy was a retired baker from Ukrop's. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Jakob Hellermann; children, Linda Underdown (Arthur) and Ed Hellermann (Gail); grandchildren, Jakob Hellermann, Blake and Trent Underdown; sisters, Renate Fraleigh and Emma Gruber (Rupert); as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at The Crossings at Hanover and Heartland Hospice for their love and kindness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service at noon at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116. A private burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org/donate.
