Edward Tyree Chappell Sr, 72, of Mechanicsville, passed away March 26, 2012. He is survived by his daughter Holly and her husband Michael Davis, his son Ty and his wife Amanda, grandchildren, Skyler Allen, Rachel Taylor, Chase Davis, Kaylee and Brice Chappell, his brother, Bates Chappell and his wife Margaret, his sister Mary Ann and her husband Joe Ramage, and all of his furry friends.
He was a graduate of T.J. High School in 1958, a graduate of VPI in 1962, Owned and Operated E.S. Chappell & Son, which is a family business previously owned by his father, he was a life sponsor of D.U. and Q.U., a long standing member of the SWRI and AGC of Virginia, and past President and Director Emeritus of The Builders Exchange of Virginia. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend to many.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 31, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd.
