Ernest Leonard Chappell Jr., 93, a resident of Mechanicsville, formerly of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2026. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Juanita Marsh Chappell.
He is survived by his daughter, Lois Pruemer (Stan), his son Bryan Chappell (Cristen), six grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Nathan (Kasey), Alexander, Jacob, and Julia, and one great granddaughter, Remy.
He worked for Graybar Electric Company for 45 years, starting with unloading trucks in Norfolk and retiring in Richmond as District Operating Manager.
The family will receive friends at 11 AM Monday June 1st at Woody Funeral Home in Mechanicsville off Shady Grove Road until the start of the service at 12 PM. Following the service will be a time of reception and fellowship at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Dale Memorial Park in Chester, VA.
