John Davis Wilburn

WILBURN, John Davis, died peacefully on February 3, 2018 in Richmond, VA. at the age of 64. John was born December 15, 1953 in Richmond, VA. to his parents Emmett Claiborne Wilburn and Jean Davis Wilburn. He graduated from Benedictine High School and retired from the City of Richmond Department of Fire and Emergency Services after 30 years of service as a firefighter. John is survived by his daughter Lisa Austin (Aaron) of Henrico, Va.; his daughter Amy Jackson (Chris) of North Chesterfield, Va.; and his grandchildren Harper Jackson, Caroline Austin, August Jackson, and Kelton Austin. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Wednesday, February 7 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home. Interment at Forest lawn Cemetery. There will be a reception following interment at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local fire station.
