

His loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy Loving Seal, his sister Mildred J. Loving, and brother Robert G. Seal preceded him in death. He is survived by his five children, daughter Joyce Pace and sons Kenneth R. Seal, Jr., Raymond Seal, Brian Seal (Diane), Gene Seal; grandchildren Crystal Morris (Grover), Clint Seal, Alexandra Seal, Joshua Bell, Daniel Seal; and his great grandchildren Kathleen, Hayden and Colton.
Mr. Seal was a WWII Army Veteran, serving with Company B, 38th Infantry in the European Theater of Operations (Battle of the Bulge). He was awarded a Bronze Battle Star and a Purple Heart. After his military service, Mr. Seal was hired in February 1946 by J.B. Hughes Motor Company, later re-named Commonwealth Ford and in 1971, Dick Strauss Ford. After more than 50 years as an auto mechanic and ASE certified Instructor he retired, only to be hired as a Motorist Assistance Aide with the Virginia State Police at the age of 76. He retired from the Virginia State Police in 2009 after 11 years of service.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday following the visitation. Interment to follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Sparta, Va.
