Lucille West Stone

STONE, Lucille West, 99, of Richmond, departed this life on Friday, April 12, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Luther H. and Mary Johnson West. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Stone, Jr., her two sisters, Margaret W. Stone and Edna W. Appler.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn S. Glascock (Garland) of Richmond and Nancy S. Smither (Jerry) of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren, Paige R. Laughlin (John) of Edinburg, Va., Bryan A. Roberts, Eric W. Smither (Melody), Keith M. Smither (Theresa), all of Mechanicsville and Cameron S. Peters (Richie) of Blue Ridge, Va.; eight great grandchildren, Jordan and Tyler Laughlin, Jacob Smither, Caleb, Keegan, and Marissa Smither, Cadence and Falan Peters.

She was a lifetime member with many active years at Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank her caregivers for all of their help during the past year. We especially want to thank Debbie Chenault for her love and devotion she has shown our mother for the past seven years.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Chamberlayne Heights United Methodist Church, 6100 Chamberlayne Rd. Pastor Livingstone Dora officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service at the church.
